Young Zimbabwean artists call out the big and established artists in order to unify and push Zimbabwean music forward

Young Artists Speak up

At a time when the Zimbabwean nation has lost Oliver Mtukudzi a godfather in the music industry, young artists look to the remaining big artists for guidance which they say they are not getting.

OyOsMusic signed budding artist Sean Brian on behalf of upcoming artists expressed displeasure with the way Zimbabwean artists, producers and DJz are not unified in ensuring Zimbabwean music grows "Zimbabwean Music will never prosper or be successful as long as artists, producers and labels are selfish and fending for their own survival." he said.

The young artist including C - KeV went on to talk about how many established artists are not keen working with budding artists saying "there are talented unknown artists looking to collaborate with well-known artists but all they ever get in response is blue ticks and ignorance so how will we progress in a system where only well-known artists  collaborate with each other why can't they uplift the unknown let's break that system and start afresh and revive this music industry"

OyOsNews Chief editor Alfred Masunda encouraged such an engaging debate calling out big artists to respond as well saying "it would be good if artists started to converse about this and debate and thus share their views and challenges."

"To tell you the truth Oyos has filled that void now unknown artists are breaking into the scene what we need now is people in radio opening slots playing different genres and letting people vote for what they like and l know most people will feel the heat of competition but competition builds stronger and better music" said Sean Brian.

The stage has been set we now await artists to engage in this discussion, both the upcoming and established.
