Rodgers ‘Shungu’ Chinoperekwei resurrects Sungura

The rapid rise of Zim-Dancehall is forcing the extinction of other genres Sungura being the most affected because of a lot of upcoming Zim-Dancehall artistes.  

Creativity and adaption methods are urgently required from Sungura artistes to reinstate the genre.

After releasing his debut album and putting up an outstanding performance at City Sports Bar recently, Rodgers ‘Shungu’ Chinoperekwei is on track to restore parity of Sungura genre.

After the performance the crowd arguably admitted that Chinoperekwei’s music is capable of luring more crowd just like Zim-Dancehall.

Speaking to an onlooker who said, what is only left for the musician is exposure and support from the nation at large.

“This is quality music, nice stuff there. I am not a fan of Sungura but this has moved me and I think Rodgers is going to resurrect the genre,” he said.
