My mother backbone of my career - Ninja Kid

Ninja Kid

Shelton Masvii aka Ninja Kid is one of the fastest rising young artistes in Zimbabwe, in an exclusive interview with OyOsMusic he said he owes his mother a lot because she did so much for him in the build-up of his music career.

The Chitungiwza based artiste told OyOsMusic that life has not been as easy as it looks in the eyes of many when they see and cheer him on stage.

“My motivation has been my mother who raised me, she was there for me through thick and thin, I have always had a burning hunger for music and it continues to grow with the passage of time.

“Growing up with my mother is one thing that will forever remain imprinted in my heart, my life was hard and to be in the music industry I needed all the support l could get and my mother was and still is my number one fan,” said Ninja Kid.

He also said, “My expectations this year are bigger than in the past, working hard has become a norm for my team and we will push the projects we have lined up as far as possible.”

One of the major setbacks he and other musicians face is music distribution and it has become a hindrance that needs to be curbed.

“The major challenge we face as musicians is the distribution of our music and making it readily available to the masses, we are striving hard to bridge that gap,” he said.

Artists are encouraged to sign up with OyOsMusic so that their music will be sold online all over the globe. The OyOsMusic Online Music Store is an initiative aimed at curbing piracy.
