Gemma Griffiths speaks light of her musical career

Gemma Griffiths
Gemma Griffiths has always been drawn to music and loved playing, writing and collaborating. It has been a lifelong passion with her career, she has always pushed for collaboration with other musicians, especially within Zimbabwe, and aims to become a part of Zimbabwe's music scenes growth.

I began playing music in junior school, and after studying music at University in the USA I came back to Zimbabwe and started performing. Since then I have been based in Cape Town for recording, making regular trips to Zimbabwe and the UK to perform in festivals like HIFA, Shoko and Miombo Magic in Zimbabwe, as well as Zimfest and the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards in London. I have also been playing around Africa from Kenya to South Africa to Lake of Stars in Malawi. I have performed with incredible Zimbabwean artists such as Oliver Mtukudzi, Ammara Brown and Jah Prayzah, as well as with South African stars such as Majozi, Goodluck, Jimmy Nevis and Matthew Mole. My music always brings me back home, and I am so grateful for that. She told OyOsNews.

She added that Zimbabwe is so full of incredible musicians. There is so much talent and life and people are always keen to collaborate and create music together it is like a big family which learn from each other, and share their experiences through their mutual love for the music.
