Blessed Zikali grieved with ZIMURA management as it exposes the music industry

8L
Blessed Zikali with the stage name 8L started singing in 2012 as an underground hip-hop, graduated to commercial in 2014. Dropped his first hit in October 2014, released mix tape dubbed the ‘Dr Advise’ in 2015, and he was nominated for the best hip-hop artist and people's choice. Dropped album 'Moses' in October 2016.

He told OyOsNews that the lack of support from people it’s like they want them to fail. “We need cooperation from DJs, fans, and corporate world. I would love to do music full time but as long as the support is not there, I can’t also do much. We don't have a stable way of pushing our music, no sales stores, and no accountability on royalties.”

He said, “Industry should be established, we need strong institutions like Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (ZIMURA), strong artists management systems and intellectual rights enforcement. Artists need to be protected. I would love to see all the artists succeed we deserve it. Let’s work hard and keep fighting on.”
