Language a barrier to the growth of Zimdancehall points out Mr Fit

Mr Fit
Upcoming artist by the stage name Mr. Fit says the Shona language is becoming a barrier to the growth of Zimdancehall music to spread beyond Zimbabwe borders into other countries.

Mr. Fit told OyOsNews that taking Zimdancehall beyond its borders it’s one of his biggest aims and is confident that he will achieve that feat if he starts composing music in the English language.

Mr. Fit is a Zimdancehall artist born 25 June 1994, started recording in 2014, has a single album titled ‘Life yaifaya’ and he has done many singles accompanied with two videos titled ‘2 gig remoyo’ and ‘Chinyarara’ starring Zim finest comedian Mai Titi.

“Our music, Zimdancehall got boundaries because we use our mother language, so by doing collaborations with other artists from different countries will open doors for our music to spread its wings to international level. I mix both Shona and English in my songs so that in other countries they can relate a bit and I'm also planning to do High Definition videos that can be played on regional channels like Channel O and Trace.” he said.

He said his other goal is to entertain and reach out to people through music and taking the genre to an international level as well.
