Ammara Brown Zim’s most viewed female artist on YouTube


Afro pop sensation, Ammara Brown makes a staggering 7.8 million collective views on YouTube, ‘Akaliz’ and ‘Wachu Want’ both has 1 million views, ‘Bachura’ 2 million views, ‘Kure Kure’ 1.5 million views, and ‘Mukoko’ 2.3 million views. 

She has made history by becoming the first Zimbabwean female artist with the most views of her videos on YouTube, the latest one being ‘Akaliz’ with 1 million views.

She grew up surrounded by music and arts, being the daughter of the late Andy Brown and having Chiwoniso Maraire as her step mom this brought much inspiration and had great influence to her music career.

She can also play piano and Mbira. Her musical career began at the age of 13 when she made her first demo song for her parents and joined her father's band, The Storm in 2003 as a backing vocalist.

Brown affectionately refers to her fans as Ammartians. Her latest album is ‘Ammartia’ which was launched on 10 November 2017 and is available on OyOsMusic an online digital music platform.
